Maggie

I am an art teacher and lecturer.  Since I gained my degree some 20 something years ago, I have been fortunate enough to have been able to teach art to students of all ages around the world.

Over the years I have done many different types of paintings but now I specialise in watercolour painting, and the subjects that I feel are well suited for this medium.

In addition to teaching I have also painted professionaly and I have exhibited regularly.  Some of my paintings have been bought by the Medici Society.

My husband and I have travelled extensively to such places as South Africa, Malawi, and the Middle East, and now we are happily settled in the Andalucia region of Spain.  Throughout our travells I have run many successful painting courses in the countries we have visited.

We now live in Spain, as we fell in love with the country particularly Andalucia. It is a wonderful location with friendly people, beautiful scenery and wonderful lighting.

Over the years I have developed my painting courses so that they are suitable of beginners and and more experienced artists. All my classes are tailored to the needs of the individual.

Gordon

Gordon is my husband and very much my right hand. He takes care of your needs whilst you are here and delights cooking wonderful dishes for our guests, and charms them with his gentle humour.

A trained educator and physicist he is also an accomplished photographer, and has a deep and abiding passion for nature, and wildlife.

In his spare time he maintains our 8 acre farm, and is busy developing it as a wildlife reserve continuing the work of the previous owner

Tuition

The tuition that you will receive on your holiday will be personal and tailored to suit your needs, whether you are a beginner or a more experienced artist.

I use the knowledge and experience that I have gained over the past 23 years as a teacher of adult artists to create a course that will enable you to reach your goals. Techniques and tips are demonstrated whenever they are needed.

Colour mixing, materials, simple perspective, form, space and light are all covered together with composition, and the techniques used by professional watercolourists.

 We go to a different painting venue every day and all have been carefully selected for their variety and aesthetic beauty. Each day is fun, and my students delight in sharing ideas, and insights in a non-competitive environment.
